October 14, 2016Forty seven Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCO) of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) had successfully accomplished their final phase of the SNCO’s course with a formal dinner to dine out participants at the Warrant Officers and SNCO’s mess in Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Nabua on 14 October 2016.
Dinner Coordinator Staff Sergeant Nemia Drauna stated that the course was conducted at the Force Training Group (FTG) in Nasinu for the last ten weeks in order to appropriately educate the participants to the principles of the SNCO’s brackets whilst serving as a member of RFMF.
The SSgt added that the course included nominated other ranks to partake in that 2 months of training in order to motivate them in their future to be a good leader.
“As the backbone of RFMF, we have a huge task to provide in the force in order to foresee the smooth running of the RFMF institution,” SSgt Drauna mentioned.
The chief Guest to the occasion was the Commanding Officer (CO) FTG Lieutenant Colonel Petero Talemaivatuwiri.
Colonel Talemaivatuwiri told the SNCO’s that evening that what they have learned from the past ten weeks will lift the standard of leadership in their future career with the RFMF.
The CO added that officers will look to them (SNCO) as they are the backbones of the force, seeking advices in areas regarding the customs and tradition of the RFMF.
