November 4, 2019The Commanding-Officer of the Force Training Group (FTG) Lieutenant-Colonel (Lt-Col) Viliame Draunibaka officiated the 1/19 SNCO course graduation parade on the 1st of November 2019 at the FTG drill square. The course which was conducted for a total of eleven weeks included forty-five SNCOs from various units within the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF).
While addressing the participants Lt-Col Draunibaka stated that the most important aspect of having being qualified as a SNCO is the expectation that each individual would go back to their respective units and contribute effectively and efficiently not only as individuals but the Backbone (“Suitu“) of the institution.
In addition to this, Lt-Col Draunibaka thanked the SNCO’s for their sacrifice and determination in completing the 11 weeks long course and acknowledged the presence of their families who turned out in numbers at the event.
“Surely today marks the end of your training and it is the end of the many sleepless nights away from home…I must congratulate you for coming this far and completing the course,” Lt-Col Draunibaka said.
“It is only proper and befitting that, on behalf of the course participants offer our appreciation to the families, parents, wives, mothers, and children who are here to celebrate with us this graduation ceremony. We thank you for your motivation and never-ending support and assistance,” Lt-Col Draunibaka added.
Lt-Col Draunibaka concluded his speech by thanking the chief instructor and directing staffs, who had contributed tirelessly to make the course a success.
