February 25, 2020The Republic of Fiji Military Forces accorded a ceremonial 50 men guard of honor to the Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern at the Nausori Airport on the 24th of February 2020. Waiting upon her arrival was the Prime Minister of Fiji Voreqe Bainimarama, Minister of Defence and National Security Honorable (Hon.) Inia Seruiratu, Commander RFMF Rear-Admiral Viliame Naupoto and Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho.
The New Zealand Prime Minister was also traditionally welcomed by members of RFMF this morning (25th Feb 2020) at the Grand Pacific Hotel before she laid her wreath to pay tribute to those who have fallen during the line of duty at the National War Memorial Site in Nasese.
In addition to this, the New Zealand Prime Minister will also hold discussions with the Hon. Voreqe Bainimarama and will be focusing on bilateral relations between the two countries and will also be discussing more on climate change in the Pacific.
