RFMF COS Closed Tutorial Classes.

Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Strategic Command Chief of Staff (COS) Colonel Litea Seruiratu closed the RFMF Students Tutorial Classes at the Force Training Group in Nasinu on the 15^th of October 2016.

Speaking on behalf of the Commander RFMF, Col Seruiratu motivated the children with words of encouragement before the external examinations this week.

 “Compared to my days in school, you children are very fortunate to be given with plenty of opportunities. For me personally there is no substitute for hardwork, work hard and work smart… if you are sitting here and thinking you can’t, you can! I have experienced that,” she said.

Col Seruiratu also confirmed that the children’s progress in school has improved compared to a few years back.

“It is sad to say that before Army childrens’ school work was not up to par, however, I have been observing from statistics that compared to the past years it has improved.”

Col Seruiratu also thanked the mothers for organizing the private tutorials and also the teachers for sacrificing their time to tutor the children.

“On behalf of the Commander I would like to thank the RFMF wives and the mothers club for organizing these (tutorials) which has been going on for a couple of years. Also we have with us the teachers whom have given time from their busy schedule to be here teaching us.”

The program concluded with a prayer from the Force Vakatawa and lovo packs and refreshments organized by the Army Wives committee.

External examinations for Year 10 students have kicked off today in schools around Fiji.
