RFMF ASSISTANCE TO COVID 19.

June 2, 2020The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) continues to assist the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Medical Services in conducting mobile fever clinics within its peripheries ensuring that no one is left behind on Fijis fight against the Global Pandemic COVID19.
Chief Medical Officer Lieutenant-Commander (LCDR) Dr. Ilaitia Tuisese Jnr said that the conduct of the mobile fever clinic was in line with the Governments plan through the Ministry of Health in ensuring family members do not show signs, symptoms of COVID-19 and to ensure that those who have recently returned from overseas comply with the MOH 14 days mandatory self-quarantine.
The RFMF Medical team conducted the checks required in conjunction with the Ministry of Health’s effort and the Commander RFMF’s directive to ensure maximum coverage is obtained for all living in personnel and their dependents.
“We have conducted the needful within QEB Barracks, Nabuni Barracks, Officers’ quarters, FTG and the Domain/Muanikau quarters. These checks within the RFMF have so far been successful and all data gathered will be forwarded to responsible authorities in the Ministry of Health & Medical Services for analysis and recording purposes.” LCDR DR Tuisese stated.
Medical personnel from RFMF Hospital GMMC conducted the checks during the Easter break from the 9th to the 13th of April 2020.
