November 29, 2019CHANGING OF THE GUARDS AT STATE HOUSE
November 30, 2019Members of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Officers, men and women gathered at the RFMF Chapel at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks today on Friday 29 November 2019 to celebrate those who have participated in the ANZ Ratu Sukuna Bowl 2019 competition.
Acting Commander Brigadier-General Mohammed Aziz was present on behalf of the Commander RFMF with Senior Officers and Officers in a thanksgiving Church service for the win a week ago.
Force Training Group (FTG) Commanding Officer (CO), Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Viliame Draunibaka, while speaking on behalf of the RFMF Leadership remained with the theme that was stated by the Commander RFMF while farewelling the Ratu Sukuna Bowl participants on the 17th November at the same venue.
The CO FTG re-iterated that the spirit of preparing well, obedience and gratitude were related in concepts that work together in order for one to fulfil anything to be accomplished.
“The more preparation you do, the more gratefulness you will develop and in between them obedience comes in naturally.” Lt Col Draunibaka said.
He added that if obedience is missing then preparation and gratefulness becomes useless.
Lt Col Draunibaka thanked all those who had participated during the ANZ RSB19, especially those who had fought well in the main rugby match.
“Your leaders are certainly proud of your achievements on the battle field and the accomplishment of a mission well done we can witness today”, Lt Col Draunibaka concluded.
He again thanked the team managers, team captains, official and supporters. Lt Col Draunibaka closed with Isaiah 40:31, “They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint”.
A lunch was prepared for all those present at the Other Ranks Mess and the event concluded with traditional protocols at the Tuvasu Hall.
