JAPANESE VISITORS PAY TRIBUTE

August 31, 2019Officers and crew of the Japanese Maritime Self Defence (JMSD) visiting Fiji toured various areas of Suva on Monday 26th August, 2019.
Female Officers from the Japanese Training Squadron vessels and the Fiji Navy Service women visited Ballantine Memorial Secondary School.
The visiting service women’s presentation at the school included a video clip portraying Women Empowerment in the Self Defense Force followed by a panel discussion on creating women-friendly work environments and encouraging the diversification of opportunities for women in Self Defense Forces.
Later the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Senior Officers and other diplomats were hosted by the Ambassador of Japan His Excellency Masahiro Omura for a Lunchon at his residence.
The officers and Crew of JMSD Vessels KASHIMA and INAZUMA visit programme for the day ended with a joint concert in the evening at the University of the South Pacific’s Japan-Pacific ICT Centre at the Laucala Campus.
Theย participants in the Joint Musical Concert included the Japanese Training Squadron Band and the RFMF Band.
