October 19, 2019Joint Training Exercise comes to an End
October 22, 2019Representative from all the account sections of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces turned up at the Ministry of Finance Training Centre to be refreshed with the Financial Management Information System (FMIS) on Friday 18th October, 2019.
The RFMF Human Resources Management Director, Colonel Litea Vulakoro Seruiratu was invited to be the chief guest at the workshop. In her speech addressing the workshop, she told participants that financial operation in the RFMF is so important. Colonel Litea further stated that it is why the fundamental quality of the training is conducted to broaden their knowledge and understanding and to advance their FMIS skills which is an integral component of the Financial Management Reforms. She added that the World Bankโs definition of an FMIS is simply the automation or computerization of financial operation, with the same sense, she added that it will assist RFMF in the decision-making process faster. It helps by providing informationโs in a timely, reliable, accurate and verifiable policy that will allow the decision-maker in the RFMF to make a better decision. She further stated that FMIS also allows them to use past performance to inform their current status as well as future strategies.
The RFMF Principle Accounts Officer, Mr Ledua Vuli said that the purpose of conducting the training is for participants to understand clearly the values of FMIS in any government organization especially in the RFMF as a whole.
