The defending champion of the Bougainville Tanoa managed to retain the trophy despite the strong challenge displayed by the Force Training Group team on Wednesday 6th March 2019.
The second encounter of this years’ Bougainville Tanoa competition was held at the Prince Charles Park in Nadi. Although the FTG team was aggressive in all aspects of the match but the Nadi based players would not allow the visitors to wrestle the coveted trophy away from their untiring clench.
The home team led 13-11 at half time and added points to their tally in the second spell, however the determination of the visiting team earned them a few more points and managed to level the score to 25 points at the final whistle. The Delta Company team retain the Trophy despite the draw.
The defending champions are looking forward to next week’s third challenge from Headquarters Land Force Command team
