DHRM Opens 1/20 JSO Course

February 24, 2020The Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (CRFMF) Rear-Admiral (RADM) Viliame Naupoto visited the RFMF Engineers platoon in Orbost, Victoria Australia on the 7th of February, 2020.
The CRFMF was accompanied by Brigadier Mathew Burr, Air Commodore Stephen Edgeley, Australia DA to Fiji LTCOL Robert Hearstch and Ms Ashleigh Alt.
The delegation arrived on a Chinook Helicopter and was later briefed by CAPT Thompson from the Australian Defence Force (ADF) on the current situation and activity conducted within Orbost, Victoria State.
The team were then taken to Cape Conran and Yalmy Road where they witnessed the work that RFMF and ADF personnel were tasked to carryout.
While addressing the RFMF team, CRFMF reminded them of the task at hand and the reason they were in Australia which was to provide necessary assistance to the ADF.
The visitation also witnessed the celebration of RADM Naupoto’s birthday.
