February 23, 2022The Chief of Defence of the Australian Defence Force arrived into the country yesterday for a 3-day tour. General Angus Campbell’s tour started with a visit to Blackrock Camp.
Accompanied by Commander Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), Major General Jone Kalouniwai, he was received at the Blackrock Camp by the Officer Commanding (OC) Major Praneel Singh. A Guard of Honour was accorded to General Campbell after which he was given a brief on the progress of the development at Blackrock Camp.
After the brief and the tour of the facility, General Campbell was accorded a “sevusevu”, a traditional welcoming ceremony and was provided with entertainment.
The General’s visit presents the Republic of Fiji Military Forces an opportunity to enhance its bilateral relationship with the Australian Defence Force on the platform of the Fiji-Australia Vuvale Partnership.
