The prestigious honor was conferred by General Thierry Burkhard, Chief of the Defense Staff of France, during an official ceremony. This recognition as a Chevalier (Knight) of the Order recognises Major General Kalouniwaiโs exemplary leadership and Fijiโs significant contributions to global peacekeeping and international diplomacy.
The award highlights Major General Kalouniwaiโs instrumental role in advancing Fijiโs peacekeeping missions in conflict zones such as the Golan Heights, South Sudan, and Sinai.
