February 17, 2023The Third Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment (3 FIR) Commanding Officer (CO) Lieutenant- Colonel (Lt-Col) Viliame Draunibaka has reminded his troops on the importance of adhering to the Commanders vision outlined in the RFMF Strategic Plan beyond 2022 which was to ensure the highest standard of combat readiness. Lt-Col Draunibaka made this statement during his parade at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks this morning (17th February, 2023).
Lt-Col Draunibaka highlighted that there were several supporting elements to the vision that was important to share with the battalion. These components included trust, enhancing military expertise as far as proficiency is concerned, esprit de corp, honorable profession and stewardship towards the roles and responsibility of the institution now and into the future.
In addition to this, Lt-Col Draunibaka also mentioned that he battalion will also be conducting two major exercises this year which is focused solely on enhancing combat readiness and the capability in the RFMF. He urged all those present to be prepared keep improving their individual capabilities to meet the proficiencies that will meet the vision of the institution.
