Chief of Staff (CoS) RFMF, Colonel Sapenafa Motufaga yesterday opened the Pre-Deployment Training for personnel earmarked to serve with the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force in the Golan Heights.
Colonel Motufaga who had recently returned from his 2-year posting as Military and Police Advisor with the United Nations HQ in New York reminded the troops that as peacekeepers, they will be an ambassador of the RFMF, Fiji and the UN.
He told the troops to be role models. โEverything you do out there in the mission field will first and foremost reflect on your contingent ‘๐๐ข๐ด๐ฌ ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ค๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ๐ช ๐๐ฐ๐ญ๐ถโ the RFMF, Fiji and the United Nations.โ
โLearn as much as you can from the instructors during your PDT training, and throughout your deployment take time to develop yourselves,โ said Colonel Motufaga.
The 170 strong personnel of ‘๐๐ข๐ด๐ฌ ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ค๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ๐ช ๐๐ฐ๐ญ๐ถโ begins their six weeks of training at the Lololo training camp outside Lautoka.
