FIJI NAVY STRENGTHENS TIES WITH MSAF

The Non – Commission Officers of the Republic Of Fiji Military Forces hosted the U.S Army Pacific (USARPAC), Command Sergeant Major (CSM)Benjamin Jones at the Warrant Officers and Sergeants Mess at QEB on Wednesday 30th October, 2019.
The United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) is the army component of the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) based at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.
CSM Jones’ visit to the country is to strengthen the Army to Army relationship that US Army Pacific have with the RFMF.
CSM Jones stated that non- commission officers are the backbone of the military and should be developed appropriately because they are the links between the commanding officers and their men. “Army believes in Education, we will give them the best recipe on how to take care of their men that will benefit the command.” He added.
CSM Jones holds an Associate Degree with Honours from Excelsior College in Applied Science and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
He was welcomed in a traditional welcoming ceremony at the Warrant Officers and Sergeants Mess.
