DOUBLE CELEBRATIONS FOR TROOPS IN SINAI

The Commander Antonio Gonzalez del Tangao del la Strada, of the Spanish Navy Frigate ‘Méndez Núñez’, paid a courtesy called to the Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (CRFMF), Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto at Strategic Headquarters (SHQ), on 30th September 2019.
The Spanish Naval Frigate ‘Méndez Núñez’ arrived in the country last Saturday 28 September 2019, on an operational tour to commemorate 500 years after Spanish sailor, “Juan Sebastian Elcano” who completed the first trip around the world in 1522.
Frigate “Méndez Núñez” is the fourth out of five ships, belonging to “Alvaro de Bazán” Class. She has 217 crewmembers and departed Ferrol, his home port, in April. During her deployment she has been conducting naval operations worldwide, and has cooperated with many allies and friendly navies. The Spanish Naval Frigate ‘Méndez Núñez’ has depart our shores at this morning, 1st October 2019.
As token of appreciation both CRFMF and Commander Antonio Gonzalez exchange gifts at the Strategic Headquarters.
