“At this juncture I take the opportunity to commend the Fiji Navy for allowing the recruitment of women into the regular force. What was once a male dominated field has evolved and intergraded into one that has the inclusion and recognition of those (women). Of this we are grateful for the leaders of having this new site. I believe that woman are indeed significant, relevant and had an important part to play side by side, shoulder to shoulder with the men not only in this institution, but in all works of life,” he concluded.
