August 4, 2016The RFMF and FPF entertainers surprised cyclone affected villages at Koro Island on Thursday 31 March 2016 under the leadership of Lt Col Serevi Vananalagi.
The RFMF Brass Band marched through Mudu and Nakodu villages while the FPF PR Serenades made the morning entertaining tunes at which hovered across Nabuna and Nacamaki Villages.
Lt Col Vananalagi and Major Meli Bulitiliva reassured villagers that the visit was made to enlighten their day and assist them to move forward. ” You still have the will to pave a way forward for a better future,” they said.
Ms Mereoni Batikavalava the head teacher at Nakodu Mudu primary school and the assistant head teacher at Sinuvaca primary school stated that it was quite difficult to teach their students who were still affected by Cyclone Winston. “Sometimes they just stare and their silence would be broken by some sudden sound which would make them scream. However they were thankful for the visit which has put smiles to their faces.
The entertainment visit will continue in Koro tomorrow before they move to Vanuabalavu in the afternoon.
