RFMF Officers Graduate From China

August 4, 2016Thirty seven trainees graduated after completing the eleven weeks Junior Non Commissioned Officers course at the Force Training Group camp, Nasinu on Friday 29 July 2016.
The trainees were selected from their parent units as prospect Non Commissioned Officers who have the capability to perform leadership roles within their unit establishments. Members of the Fiji Police Force, Police Constable (PC) Vodonaivalu, PC Ligairi and PC Coriakula also graduated as Junior Non Commissioned Offices with other RFMF trainees. Corporal Seniroqa Colati won the best all round award amongst the graduates who were awarded with the Junior Non Commissioned Officers Certificate.
The aim of the course is to train and develop junior leaders in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces. When they return to their parent units, graduates are expected to undertake the Second In Command leadership role which involves leadership and the management of welfare, administration and logistics support arrangement for their ten men squad.
Land Force Command Chief of Staff, Lieutenant Colonel Onisivoro Covunisaqa who delivered the closing address welcomed graduates to the military junior leadership level and reminded them as Section 2IC they are expected to undertake their leadership role with moral courage to develop personnel under their command to the required discipline standard of RFMF.
Lance Corporal Disiga was the only female trainee who graduated with her counterparts.
