The Third Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment (3FIR) came out victorious at the end of the two-day Inter-Unit Drill Competition held by Land Force Command units at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks Drill Square that came into completion on Friday 23 September, 2016.
The best platoon in drill was made up of troops from the 3FIR Alpha Company who topped the scoreboard by 212 points out of 220. They edged the instructors from the Force Training Group who scored 211 out of 220 points. Interestingly, this competition has only one trophy prize and that goes only to the best drill platoon.
Land Force Command Chief of Staff, Lieutenant Colonel Onisivo Covunisaqa commended all troops from the five participating Land Forces units for the wonderful display they demonstrated within the past two days of competition.
