The 48th Indo-Pacific Army Management Seminar (IPAMS) commenced today in Nadi Fiji , bringing together delegations from 20 countries for a four-day conference focused on enhancing collaboration among land forces in the region.
As the largest gathering of army leaders in the Indo-Pacific, IPAMS aims to foster peace and stability through mutual understanding, dialogue, and friendship among participating nations. This yearโs theme, โJoint & Combined Operations in the Indo-Pacific Region,โ highlights the importance of cooperation in addressing shared security challenges.
The seminar is co-hosted by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces and the United States Army. The opening ceremony featured remarks from Brigadier General Onisivoro Covunisaqa, Land Forces Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, and General Charles Flynn, Commanding General of U.S. Army Pacific, who welcomed attendees and emphasised the critical role of joint operations in promoting regional security.
The event will include a series of discussions, workshops, and collaborative exercises aimed at strengthening partnerships and enhancing operational readiness among Indo-Pacific armies.
