December 13, 2021The Commanding Officer 3rd Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment Lieutenant Colonel Penioni Naliva and his fellow infanteers hosted Commander (Cmdr) Sarah Bamfield to a morning tea after she was ceremonially welcomed by a Quarter Guard at the Battalion Headquarters on Thursday 16th September 2021.
After a wreath-laying ceremony at the Battalions memorial, she was than given a short brief by the Operations Officer Major Pio Varawa. The DA was informed on the concept and structures of the battalion including their supporting role to the Ministry of Health and Medical Services covid-19 operations involving its two companies in the west and Golf Coy in the north.
Earlier this month, Cmdr Bamfield visited the Emergency Operation Centres within the Suva – Nausori corridor to witness the Covid -19 operations carried out by RFMF personnel on the ground.
