The 1/24 Trade Training School (TTS) undergoes final examinations. The 12 months have now been completed, and the TTS students are now towards the end of their course. The final examination, which commenced last week, saw the students complete their trade training test in carpentry class 3.
This test was conducted by the senior instructors from the Fiji National University (FNU), and the examinations are accredited to the institution’s curriculum. This year, the 1/24 TTS are pioneering a new inclusion to the TTS curriculum, which includes the examination of Block Laying Class 3. Both the examinations for carpentry and block laying include a day of theory and 3 days each of practical examination.
The students have been trained to provide basic technical skills in carpentry and block-laying work. The students are now capable and trained to have sound knowledge and understanding of the principles and processes of carpentry trade skills using basic manual and power tools, and block laying.
The TTS students now prepare themselves for their graduation, which is earmarked towards the end of the month, and are now prepared and equipped for any deployments required by the HQ Engineers Regiment or RFMF.
