July 24, 2024The Republic of Fiji Military Forces Chief Staff Officer Operation (CSO OPS) Lieutenant Colonel (Lt-Col) Saula Koro officially opened the 1/24 RFMF Army Fitness Leadership Training Course today 23rd July, 2024 at Tuvasu Hall in Queen Elizabeth Barracks (QEB) in Nabua.
While delivering his opening remarks, Lt-Col Koro welcomed and acknowledged Warrant Officer Class II Lawrence Colbin and his team from the New Zealand Defence Force for their initiative in organizing this timely course for the RFMF.
Lt-Col Koro reminded the participants that of the importance of physical training in the institution as it was a critical component in achieving mission success.
โThe RFMF has the maintenance of personal well-being and physical fitness as one of the key outputs that contributes to the achievement of its strategic priorities which is why it is important that after this course, each and every one of you should be able to assess the standard of physical fitness within your unit, identify gaps, design and PT/Sports and another fitness program that will help maintain the standard required.” Lt Col Koro added.
Lt-Col Koro also urged the participants to approach each session with an open mind and a willingness to learn. He emphasized that their dedication to this course would not only benefit them individually but also enhance the overall fitness and readiness of their unit.
