The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) reached a significant milestone in its regional defence engagement as a company of approximately 130 personnel departed Fiji Yesterday (14 May 2025) to participate in Exercise Talisman Sabre 2025 (TS25)โthe largest multinational military exercise ever hosted in Australia.
This deployment marks a historic step in Fijiโs military diplomacy, underscoring its commitment to regional security and cooperation.
Led by Major Jale Lacanikaibau, the RFMF Company will embed with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) for an initial six-month deployment, which is expected to extend into a one-year rotational commitment.
Fijiโs participation not only strengthens its longstanding defence partnership with Australia but also enhances the RFMFโs interoperability and operational readiness through multinational collaboration.
