December 14, 2021The Deputy Commander RFMF (DCRFMF), Commodore Humphery Tawake today made a presentation to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs & Defence on the ‘𝘌𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘖𝘝𝘐𝘋-19 𝘰𝘯 𝘙𝘍𝘔𝘍 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴’.
Presenting every aspect of the RFMF’s involvement in the COVID 19 response, Commodore Tawake mentioned that while the Ministry of Health & Medical Service led the response, the RFMF provided crucial support.
“The RFMF in line with its constitutional role and efforts supported the whole-of-government response to the pandemic through its COVID 19 taskforce. This was critical in assisting the Ministry of Health in containing and mitigating the virus.” Commodore Tawake said.
Accompanying the DCRFMF was Major Saula Koro head of the RFMF COVID 19 Task Force, Major Asaeli Toanikeve who is part of the Incident Management Team (IMT) and Major Timoci Qele the Acting Director for Finance, Logistics and Acquisition.
