The Deputy Commander RFMF (DCRFMF), Commodore Humphery Tawake today made a presentation to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs & Defence on the βππ§π§π¦π€π΅π΄ π°π§ πππππ-19 π°π― ππππ ππ€π΅πͺπ·πͺπ΅πͺπ¦π΄β.
Presenting every aspect of the RFMFβs involvement in the COVID 19 response, Commodore Tawake mentioned that while the Ministry of Health & Medical Service led the response, the RFMF provided crucial support.
βThe RFMF in line with its constitutional role and efforts supported the whole-of-government response to the pandemic through its COVID 19 taskforce. This was critical in assisting the Ministry of Health in containing and mitigating the virus.β Commodore Tawake said.
Accompanying the DCRFMF was Major Saula Koro head of the RFMF COVID 19 Task Force, Major Asaeli Toanikeve who is part of the Incident Management Team (IMT) and Major Timoci Qele the Acting Director for Finance, Logistics and Acquisition.
