The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Directorate of Finance, Logistics, and Acquisitions conducted the 2025–2026 Financial Year Cost Managers Workshop on Thursday, August 7, 2025 held at the Ro Lalabalavu House conference room. The workshop brought together all RFMF Unit Commanding Officers (COs) to strengthen financial planning and compliance for the year ahead.
RFMF Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Sapenafa Motufaga, officially opened the workshop. In his keynote address, Brig-Gen Motufaga highlighted the critical importance of strategic financial planning and strict adherence to RFMF procurement regulations.
“You need to carry out proper planning for how your budget allocations are going to be used and make sure to understand and follow all RFMF purchasing regulations,” Brig-Gen Motufaga said.
Brig-Gen Motufaga also urged COs to reflect on their financial performance over the past fiscal year and identify areas requiring improvement.
The workshop focused on reviewing the achievements and challenges of the 2024–2025 financial year and outlining key priorities and strategies for the upcoming fiscal year.
A similar two-day workshop was conducted earlier in the week, on Tuesday, 5 and Wednesday, 6 August 2025, at the Ministry of Finance conference room for all Cost Centre – Procurement, Logistics, and Accounts personnel.
