December 6, 2024The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) together with the Australian Defence Adviser’s Office, hosted a morning tea Yesterday (04 November, 2024) at the Strategic Headquarters to recognise key promotions, accomplishments, and farewells.
The event celebrated the promotion of several ADF officers who are embedded to the RFMF under the Vuvale Partnership. Squadron Leader Daniel Cassidy from the RFMF Strategic Headquarters was promoted to Wing Commander, Captain Doyle Beaudequin from the RFMF Joint Task Force Commandโs UN Peacekeeping School was promoted to the rank of Major and Warrant Officer Class Two Seaton Williamson from the RFMF Engineers was promoted to the rank of Warrant Officer Class One.
Under the Defence Corporations Scholarship Program (DCSP) 2023, Major Mikaele Wara was recognised with the Academic Excellence Award, while Major Nanise Ralagi, and Mr. Eroni Rokisi of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration received completion certificates. Warrant Officer Class One Laita Liloma was also commended for completing the ADF Joint Warrant Officers Course.
The event also bid farewell to departing ADF personnel, including Wing Commander Daniel Cassidy, Major Clinton Schwarz, Major Doyle Beaudequin, LEUT Ayla Woodbury, Lieutenant Commander Julia Griffin, Assistant Defence Adviser Lieutenant Commander Khan Beaumont, and Warrant Officer Class One Seaton Williamson.
The event highlighted the ever-continuing strong partnership between the RFMF and the ADF, acknowledging their collaborative efforts in defence and peacekeeping initiatives.
