February 22, 2022The Permanent Secretary for Defence, National Security and Policing, Mr Manasa Lesuma today (Friday 26 November) officiated the closing ceremony of the Strategic Leadership Workshop at the Pearl Resort.
Mr Lesuma told participants that the universal requirement for active progress and success was strong leadership.”It is required in all areas of life; in society, sports, employment and in overall nation governance. Strong leadership manifests through confidence.”
The week-long program was facilitated by the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom and attended by representatives of various government agencies including the RFMF and Fiji Police.
The program included the virtual participation of Papua New Guinea representatives.
Colonel Kitione Tuinaosara, one of the two RFMF representatives that undertook the program said, “I absolutely regard this program as of high value. This has really given me insight into the dynamics of Leadership in this 21st Century.”
The program concluded with the presentation of certificates.
