The Republic of Fiji Military Forces Chief Staff Officer Operation (CSO OPS) Lieutenant Colonel (Lt-Col) Saula Koro officially opened the Multinational Force and Observer (MFO) Batt 43 Pre-Deployment Training (PDT) at Joint Task Force Command (JTFC) on Monday 26th August 2024.
During his opening remarks, Lt-Col Koro welcomed the members of Batt 43 PDT and emphasised that the pre-embarkation training for a mission represents not only our commitment to peace, but also Fiji’s critical role in the global quest for stability and harmony.
โAs members of the 43 Fijian contingent, you will carry with you the values of our beloved Fiji, values of compassion, cooperation and resilience. Our peacekeeping history is adult with examples of courage and dedication,โ Lt-Col Koro said.
โStrengthen your bond and instill a spirit of unity and teamwork that will carry through into your deployment. We are ambassadors of peace, and as we train together, let us build bonds that will enhance your effectiveness in the field. I urge you all to approach this training with interest, and open mind, and a willingness to learn,โ Lt-Col Koro added.
Finally, Lt-Col Koro mentioned that, always exercise good judgment, wisdom, and commitment to upholding the values of peace, He urged the Batt 43 PDT participants to collaborate closely with each other and approach the training with an open mind.
