The Indo-Pacific Army Management Seminar (IPAMS) culminated with significant activities and discussions. The head of delegations visited the Republic of Fiji Military Forces- Joint Taskforce Command, Blackrock UN Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Centre. The delegation toured the HADR Warehouse, where a static display showcased the JTFC’s capabilities, including its medical facility.
The Senior Enlisted Leaderโ€™s Forum visited Delta Company. The forum discussed extensively on what the future role of Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) and how they can effectively adapt to ever changing challenges within globally dynamic environment. A formal welcome ceremony also took place, where the RFMF Senior Enlisted Leaderโ€™s welcomed the participants to Delta Company.
The spouses of the delegates participated in an offsite cultural visit to South Sea Island. This visit included watching traditional Fijian dances as well as engaging in activities like making baskets, fans and hats. This immersive experience provided the spouses, many of whom had traveled from around the world, an opportunity to learn about and share in the rich Fijian culture.
The seminar concluded with a closing ceremony, where the Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai Logavatu officially brought the Fiji IPAMS 2024 to a close. In his closing address, he expressed gratitude to all the participants for their efforts in promoting a free and peaceful Indo-Pacific region.
Later, a beating of the retreat ceremony was performed in line with military protocol, signifying the event’s formal completion. The ritual culminated with the lowering of the national flags.
