January 23, 2025The 17th of January, 2025, is a significant date marked for the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Naval Division’s history as they welcomed their First Chaplain, Captain Reverend Savu Lakoenavuli, the former 2FIR Chaplain who served in the Sinai from 2023 to 2024.
Members of the Fiji Batt 42, led by Lieutenant Colonel Netani Kaukimoce and the Force Chaplaincy Cell led by Major Reverend Viliame Tunidau, officially took the Padre with his family to the Naval Headquarters in Stanley Brown Base in Walu Bay, Suva.
Receiving the delegation was the Commander Navy, Commodore Humphrey Tawake, Officers, men, and women of the Naval Division. Captain Reverend Savu Lakoenavuli will oversee the spiritual well-being of the naval officers, conducting church services and providing individual counseling as well as pre-marital counseling.
