Officers from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), Fiji Police Force, and Fiji Corrections Service came together yesterday (September 29, 2025) to celebrate the Saint (St.) Michaelโs Feast Day at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Church in Suva.
St. Michael the Archangel is recognised in Catholic tradition as the patron saint of the disciplined forces. The annual event serves as a time of reflection, unity, and spiritual renewal for the nationโs Catholic uniformed services.
The Mass was presided over by Father Sikeli Tuilevuka, with members of the RFMF leading the liturgy. The service acknowledged the role of faith in service and protection in the duties of the disciplined forces and reaffirmed the commitment of Fijiโs disciplined forces to serve with integrity, courage, and compassion, guided by the values embodied by St. Michael.
