The former President of Fiji and Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, was honored with a farewell Dining-Out at the Officersโ Mess in Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua by the RFMF Officers yesterday, 13 December, 2024.
While speaking to the officers, HE Katonivere expressed his gratitude to the RFMF for the support during his 3-year term as the President and Commander in Chief. He also thanked the Commander RFMF, Maj-Gen Jone Kalouniwai, and the entire RFMF for the great initiative and outstanding effort in promoting Restoration and Reconciliation within the RFMF and the nation.
โLetโs continue to uphold the RFMF ethosโthe Dina, Dodonu, and Savasava and keep on working together for a better tomorrow.โ We should also continue to honor the institute that we serve, the former President said.
Also present at the Dining-Out was the Prime Minister of Fiji, Honorable Sitiveni Rabuka; the former President of Fiji, Brigadier-General (Rtd) Ratu Epeli Nailatikau; and the Minister for Rural, Maritime Development, and Disaster Management, Honourable Sakiasi Ditoka.
