The Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) today officially received His Excellency Filipo Tarakinikini, Fiji’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (PRUN), at the RFMF Strategic Headquarters in Berkeley Crescent.

His Excellency was accorded a Quarter Guard ceremony upon arrival, in recognition of his distinguished diplomatic service and longstanding connection to the RFMF. He was accompanied by his wife and daughter during the visit.

The Commander RFMF expressed his appreciation for Ambassador Tarakinikini’s continued advocacy of Fiji’s interests at the international level and acknowledged his enduring contribution to the military and national service.

The visit emphasizes the strong ties between Fiji’s diplomatic representation abroad and its national security institutions.
