The Commander of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Naval Hospital Ship Ark Silk Road, Senior Captain (Navy) Peng Guliang, and his delegation visited the Deputy Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), Commodore (CDRE) Humphrey Tawake, at the RFMF Strategic Headquarters in Berkley Crescent, Suva.

Upon arrival, Senior Captain (Navy) Peng Guliang was accorded a Quarter Guard by the RFMF Naval Division followed by a formal meeting with CDRE Tawake.

CDRE Tawake acknowledged the 50 years of bilateral relations between Fiji and China, highlighting how the partnership has strengthened ties between the RFMF and the PLA. He also expressed gratitude to the PLA Naval Hospital Ship for their mission to Fiji, providing free medical consultations and public health services to RFMF personnel and the wider Fijian community duration of the visit.
