The Australian Defence Advisor Colonel Robert Haertsch and Instructors from the Australian Defence Force (ADF) were also present during the opening address.
The Commander Land Force said that the Program is also part of the ๐๐ถ๐ท๐ข๐ญ๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ต๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด๐ฉ๐ช๐ฑ initiative. He described that a ๐ท๐ถ๐ท๐ข๐ญ๐ฆ or family relationship has no barriers between them and is a good platform for RFMF to enhance its commitment with ADF.
โWe have a lot to gain that the Land Force Command acknowledges that there are opportunities to learn from the Australian Army, the package that will be shared in a couple of weeks hopefully will enhance knowledge and skills of our soldiers and hopefully strengthen the cooperation of the two forces in the near futureโ.
Close to sixty service members including three from the Fiji Police Force will be taking part in the month-long program.
