𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗧𝗔𝗦𝗞 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗖𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗟

Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Commander Joint Task Force (CJTF) Brigadier-General (Brig-Gen) Manoa Gadai visited the UNIFIL Headquarters in Naqoura, Lebanon and paid a courtesy call to Chief of Staff UNIFIL, Brigadier General Bruno Helluy on 11th March 2023.

After the courtesy call, Brig-Gen Gadai visited the memorial site at Qana and paid his respects to our men who passed away during Fiji’s UNIFIL mission in Lebanon. The Commander Joint Task Force Command was accompanied by the Staff Officers serving with UNIFIL, UNTSO, and also our former soldiers who are now serving with UN in Lebanon.

In the evening, the Fijian Community in Lebanon accorded a traditional ceremony (𝘴𝘦𝘷𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘷𝘶) and also a farewell dinner to Brig-Gen Gadai.

In his speech, Brig-Gen Gadai, acknowledged and thanked the Staff Officers currently posted to UNIFIL and UNTSO, and challenged them to continue with the good work that they are doing.

He also acknowledged and thanked the Fijian Community for supporting our Staff Officers and continuing our footprint with UNIFIL.
